Jay Cox wins the final round of the Pro Nitrous world championship with a 3.643 at at 206.54 at Virginia Motorsports Park.
Tommy Franklin and Jay Cox met in the final round of Pro Nitrous category. Although Franklin secured his third world championship with victories in the last two meetings, this final edition saw Cox emerge victorious. His win was well-timed, as Cox announced his retirement from driving to spend more time with his family.
Cox, driving his Musi-powered Butner Construction ’69 Camaro, posted a 3.643 at 206.54, while Franklin experienced traction issues and finished with a 3.785 at 163.04.
The Fuel injection, Ignition and Nitrous systems are all controlled by the EFI Technology R8 ECU System.
